“It is the nature of babies to be in bliss.”…………Deepak Chopra
Babies! OMG! I saw one today. Five and a half month old sweetheart girl. All little blue eyes and miniature bod. OMG! Haven’t seen one for ages! Her mother said she was already crawling.
Honestly. I don’t get out all that much and when I do, its to the grocery store and back. But lucky me!!! Today I took my mom to the hairdresser and got to interact face to face with a BABY!!!
I used to love the poem, Baby, by George MacDonald—-Where did you come from, baby dear? Out of the everywhere, into the here……Where did you get those eyes of blue….out of the sky when I came through! What makes your cheek like a warm red rose? …….I saw something better than anyone knows!…….
Babies are proof that Love incarnates in the human being. They delight in our smiles. We delight in their smiles. And for a moment or two, we are both transported to heaven…to bliss. If you do right by them, they reciprocate 1000 fold.
Babies don’t judge us. Can you imagine that? No judgement. No thoughts like: “Gosh that person is stupid”…or, “Gosh, I’m glad I’m not fat like that”… or “I don’t have time to talk…have to run.”
Babies change, of course, into toddlers. Grandmother Pa’Ris’Ha says that after infancy, babies go through the “mocking bird” stage. They learn by mimicking the people around them. Why do “the terrible two’s” arrive with toddlers saying “No” to everything you ask them to do? Obviously, they heard “No” this and “No” that from the Moms and the Dads and the other people around them. And one thing leads to another and before Mother Goose can lay a golden egg, the child’s grown into an adult that’s loss the bliss.
Unless we become like little children….we can’t enter the kingdom of heaven.
Think about it,
