Love is All I know. It works for me. I was created as love and will return when I have completed here….Grandmother Pa’Ris’Ha

God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. That’s my favorite Bible quote, I John 4:16…hands down, no doubt about it, absolutely! Just imagine! What if we all realized that there was nothing else in the universe BUT GOD, the ULTIMATE DIVINE BEING and each and every one of us human beings is simply a projection of, a holograph of, an emanation of the Divine One that is LOVE. Wouldn’t things be hunky dory?

Both words, “God” and “Love” have really been over-used. So let’s  get back to some basics here.  By “God” I mean the “ALL THAT IS”–the entire universe, all dimensions, both manifest and unmanifest, taken as a unified whole–and called The One, though it has had many, many Holy Names down through human history.

Then there is Love. Vast numbers of humans have experienced one form of love or another, down through the eons.  We have artists of all sorts–poets, authors, film makers– and sages to thank for singing the praises of love.  But we don’t need to read poetry or see a romantic video to know. Our hearts tell us….in either a small or big way, that love exists.

Then, back to the Bible verse which is saying, God=Love which is like a mathematical “identity” such  as 1=1, a mathematical truth!  And if God is Love, then the entire universe has to be the expression of LOVE, like a giant GIFT. And since we each know what we are going for—we have felt love in our heart–we can reach for the Ultimate experience of the Ultimate Love. Each human being CAN EXPERIENCE the Consciousness of GOD, through meditation and inner work on the Self, by taking up our own knowledge of love and imagining it magnified to the nth degree.

Each person can experience Oneness with the One. It’s that simple.  Our consciousness of LOVE can give us access to the Consciousness of the Divine One that Is All That Is…that is GOD.  Oh, but you DO have to focus, spend some time, be devoted. Unless you are lucky and get struck out of the blue by God’s love, like a lightening bolt.  It does happen.

But generally, it all comes down to a person’s inner life and what he or she cultivates in the mind and soul and spirit.  As the Dalai Lama has said: “One has to try to develop one’s inner feelings, which can be done simply by training one’s mind.”

May our hearts guide us!
